In the second year of Wude (619), the Tang general Duan Decao and Liang Shidu fought in Weizhou (where the rule was in Weiping), and Liang Shidu was defeated.

In the third year (620), the people of Diaoyin County moved to Fenglin County, Yanzhou (now southeast of Yan'an), and they established Suizhou. That year, Tang set up two counties, Angu and Anquan, in Weizhou.

In the seventh year (624), Suizhou moved from Yanzhou to Wei Ping, and Wei Ping established Dabin County. In August, the Turks harassed Suizhou again.

In the summer of the second year of Zhenguan (628), the Turks fell into chaos, Tang defeated the Turkic soldiers, and the Liangshi was impoverished and killed by his subordinates. Tang took Shuofang city and the territory belonged to Tang. That year, the two counties of Weizhou, Angu and Anquan, were abolished, and Weipingguan was established near Weizhou.

In April of the first year of Hongdao (683), Ji Baitieyu of the Suizhou tribe revolted, occupied Chengping and proclaimed himself the Holy Emperor of Guangming. He set up a hundred officials, occupied the two counties Suide and Dabin, and killed officials. He was soon suppressed by Tang Youwei generals Cheng Wuting and Wang Fangyi and failed (Zi Zhi Tong Jian recards: Tribe Ji Baitieyu buried the bronze Buddha in the ground. For a long time, the grass grew on it and people in the township said: I see the Buddha's light collection here. The people excavated the ground and gained it because it said: "Those who see the Holy Buddha will heal from all diseases." The distance was attached to it.  For several years, there was a mass who had converted).
